I Hate Car Shopping.

The one that got away.
I mentioned awhile ago that I'm shopping for a "new" car. There are few things I loathe more than shopping for a car, but I've spent these last few days doing just that. I've done my due diligence: researching the type of car I need, putting in some calls to dealerships, test driving different vehicles. I finally decided on a sensible 4-door Honda Civic hatchback that meets my needs, doesn't have too many miles on it and isn't completely hideous to look at.

So I'm sitting in the dealership, my checkbook out, ready to buy, when the salesman reveals what they're offering on my trade-in. And I'm like, wait hold up. I've had two other dealerships offer me twice this amount. We go back and forth. He won't budge.

Maybe I'll just keep it...
Long story short, it turned into an episode of "fuck you." "No, fuck YOU." "No, FUCK YOU!" "NO, FUCK YOU!!!" (I perhaps embellish, but you get the point. I left without the car.) Now I'm thinking of just fixing mine and keeping it. Christ, I hate car shopping.
