The GOP is very gifted in the art of slight-of-hand. While we're all caught up in such weighty issues as whether or not bakeries should be forced to make gay wedding cakes, or which NFL star is kneeling for the national anthem today, Republicans in Congress are taking away our healthcare and robbing us blind with so-called "tax reform." 

This cake is more
important than 
your healthcare.

Yes, yes, I know it's of paramount importance that we protect our religious freedom by taking a principled stand against the scourge of gay marriage. I know that we must preserve our sacred traditions against the tyranny of peaceful protest. I know these things are vital to our national interests because our  President tells us so. 

This is the most IMPORTANTEST 
THING EVER!!!

But while we're all snarling at each other over these crucially important things, this is happening. And this. And this. But look! Over there! A christian is being persecuted for refusing to bake a gay wedding cake! Look! Over there! An athlete is kneeling! 


It's almost like they're trying to distract us...
